Where Bug Pokémon once felt like nothing more than early-game fodder, they can now become strong contenders in battle when you invest in their Mega Evolutions and utilize their enhanced stats. Bug Pokémon still have most of the same weaknesses, but now there are several Bug Pokémon that have emerged as serious threats or are staples in story mode and competitive battling.

Mega Scizor

Where to catch
- You can catch Scyther in Wild Zone 13 during the nighttime in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This area becomes accessible after reaching Rank E in the main story.
- You must evolve a Scyther into Scizor by trading it while it holds a Metal Coat. You can obtain a Metal Coat by either completing Side Mission 101 or purchasing it from a vendor in the post-game.
- Purchase the Scizorite from the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue for 50,000 Poké Dollars to evolve Scizor into Mega Scizor.
Mega Stat: HP 70 / Atk 150 / Def 140 / SpA 65 / SpD 100 / Speed 75.

- You can catch Pinsir in Wild Zone 13 after completing Main Mission 14 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
- To Mega Evolve it, you’ll need to purchase Pinsirite from the Mega Shard Exchange at Quasartico Inc. for 240 Mega Shards.
Mega Stat: HP 65 / Atk 155 / Def 120 / SpA 65 / SpD 90 / Speed 105.

- Nature: Adamant or Jolly.

- Weedle can be caught in Wild Zone 1 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. You can find it by exploring the grass and bushes in this early-game area. You can find Kakuna in Wild Zone 2 and Wild Zone 7. You can also catch Beedrill directly in Wild Zone 15.
- You can acquire the Beedrillite by defeating the Rogue Mega Beedrill in Main Mission 16.
