Battlefield 6: Winter Offensive is one of the major seasonal events of 2025, featuring snowy battles, new survival systems to learn, and a variety of unique, limited-time rewards. The event began on December 9, 2025, in Phase 3 of Season 1 and will last until December 29, giving players a short time to complete it all and take advantage of everything in this update.
What Is the Winter Offensive?
The Winter Offensive is a limited-time event that revolves around Ice Lock Empire State, a wintery version of the Empire State map. It brings with it the new Freeze mechanic, where players are required to control their body temperature throughout the match. If players stay too long in the cold without heat sources, then their performance can be negatively impacted, which adds more strategy to every fight.

Battlefield 6, in addition to standard multiplayer modes such as Conquest and Domination, also features Ice Lock Gauntlet, a seasonal mode of faster pace that is specifically designed for the event’s mechanics.
The Winter Offensive Bonus Path is the main event, an 11-tier progression track that is running parallel to the Season 1 Battle Pass. Each tier is priced at 10 Bonus Path Points, thus making it a total of 110 points needed to finish the entire track.
