In current FPS campaigns, collectibles are usually designed for two reasons: to make exploration worthwhile and to engage the player in more player activities beyond the main story. Battlefield 6 has dog tags throughout the campaign missions that do just that. The Rock has three dog tags, each located in spots that require paying attention versus just blowing stuff up.
Dog Tags Across the Campaign

Before turning attention to The Rock, it is worth viewing the grand plan:
- The entire campaign has 30 dog tag collectibles, distributed over nine missions, with longer missions every now and then having four tags and shorter ones having two or three.
- These tags aren’t merely frills, earning them provides real in-game benefits: exclusive multiplayer skins (for Pax Armata and NATO factions), vehicle camos, player cards, XP consumables and a special “complete set” tag in case all 30 are earned.
- The campaign occasionally recycles destructible and multiplayer-inspired maps, rendering hidden items much more difficult to find, particularly amidst chaos.
The Rock: Overview
In The Rock, players move through a range of outdoor landing zones, underground tunnels, and anti-air artillery sites. The three dog tags are located in various spots: near the drop zone, in the tunnel museum area, and in a shipping container near an artillery location. Because of the linear nature of the flow of the mission, often missing one might require a restart of that section in the mission.

Location: In the sequence of the underground tunnel with WWII artifacts.
How to find it: After you follow Carter into the tunnel, go past the first museum room. To your left, at the scene depicting an officer’s desk, is the dog tag sitting on that desk.
Dog Tag #3: Shipping Container near AAA Gun

Location: After coming out from the tunnel portion, at the artillery (AAA gun) section located at Ann’s Battery.
How to find it: As you are coming down the stairs towards the gun emplacement, make your way toward a shipping container that is full of gear. Inside the shipping container is the dog tag.
Conclusion
In Battlefield 6, the three dog tags in The Rock mission capture the design philosophy for the game: subtle exploration, environmental engagement, and longer term reward. These collectibles are more than Easter eggs and they inform the whole reward system and engage players at a broader level. The Rock is a good example for journalists and players of how collectibles add to the pacing of the game, the exploration, and player engagement and investment without overwhelming the campaign.
