EA has reported that the first large patch for Battlefield 6 will go live on October 28, 2025, and will be labeled as version 1.1.1.0. Some core systems they focus on improving in this patch update will be weapon accuracy, player movement, and visibility improvement. Challenges that conflict with the game feel will be significant feedback changes that will roll out later.

This patch has altered and adjusted weapon bloom to increase the amount of dispersion that each respective weapon has to trigger at accuracy more relative to its core weapon performance. Non-Recon sniper rifles now exhibit weapon sway transitioning into zoom instead of enhanced scatters, similar to the specialized state of each weapon system. This condition is intended to respect the high accuracy aim of the Recon class. Also improved is player movement with smoother invert landings, faster stance transitions, slightly more vaulting for all maneuvers, and improved bounce when landing or spawning, tightening groups against aim for a unique conceptual movement that will feel smoother.

Visual Improvements and Audio Enhancements

Lighting trimming changes to account for better visibility with the conversion transition from enclosed and enclosed spaces prompted feedback for adjustments from observers. In addition, the enhanced audio system provides more relatable and realistic sounds, from observers have made the game feel a little bit more polished.

Still a Challenge

While there have been some advancements, the challenge system continues to be a large complication for players. Challenges, in the current game, range from “boring” to “broken”, including things that require suppressing 300 enemies, repairing 6,000 vehicle HP in a single game, or getting 150 sniper headshots from an unreasonable distance. Many players find these challenges fairly unnecessary and extremely time-consuming.

Adjustments on the Way

EA recognizes the concern and is currently looking to make several changes to make challenges more understandable and faster to complete. Because of the magnitude of the changes, it will take EA at least two future patches to implement the full rework. The planned adjustments will include eliminating some of the most awful challenges and an overall reduction in the time it takes to complete them. For example, the Assault 1 challenge will go from 30 kills to 3 kills, the Engineer vehicle reduction will go from 6,000 HP repaired to 1,000 HP repaired, and Deadeye 2 will go from 150 headshots to just 5 headshots.

What Players Should Look For

While players will still have to wait for the next patches to come, and player progression will be better after the October 28 patches, players wanting things to be more metered and manageable in challenge progression will need to wait for a few future updates. The changes that EA has planned for challenges will make previously annoying assignments easy in a short amount of time, improving how fast people will progress in Battlefield 6 overall!
