Battlefield 6 Campaign Leaks: 9 Missions, Global Locations & New Squad Commands

fragster James Steward 28. September 2025

The anticipation for Battlefield 6 continues to grow as new leaks speculate what a single-player campaign where large-scale battles are mixed with new tactics features. EA, DICE, and Ripple Effect Studios have not confirmed these details, but the information has come from multiple leakers, dataminers, and gaming outlets, who have given fans enough of a consistent picture of what they can expect early on. The names, locations, or mechanics may still change before launch, but all of the leaks seem to show a lean, but ambitious campaign.

Nine Missions Across Three Continents

According to reports the Battlefield 6 single-player campaign will have approximately nine narrative missions, with gameplay probably lasting four to six hours long. While this length is shorter than some previous titles, it is designed for players to replay while also maintaining their pacing.

Additionally, the action will take place in regions of Africa, Europe, and North America, resulting in a story that spans the globe. Specifically, leaked details include missions in Northern Africa’s Cairo/Nile, “Rock of Gibraltar,” urban Brooklyn, and Tajikistan in Central Asia. Some reports say some mission locations may revisit the theaters, such as multiple operations involving Gibraltar, in order to tie the missions to a narrative.

Mission titles vary between leaks. Examples include:

  • Always Faithful
  • The Rock
  • Operation Gladius
  • Night Raid
  • Nile Guard
  • Operation Emberstrike
  • Always Forward

These variations show some names may be working titles. Even with that, the overlapping geographic references make the settings credible.

Open Scope Meets Tactical Leadership

One of the more notable elements is the campaign structure. Instead of only linear progress, missions are said to offer a large open scope with optional objectives or multiple ways to finish them. This approach aims to combine the cinematic set pieces Battlefield known for with more movement freedom and player choice.

Also significant is the new squad command system. For the first time in a Battlefield campaign players will issue tactical orders to squadmates. Leaks mention commands like deploying smoke for cover, calling grenades or RPG strikes, ordering suppressive fire, flanking maneuvers, recon scans and marking threats. Each squad member is rumoured to belong to a distinct class, adding role-based dynamics similar to multiplayer.

Another feature is the ability to switch between members of the Dagger 13 unit, instead of being locked to one protagonist. Combined with a revive mechanic similar to multiplayer, these changes could make solo play feel more like small-scale leadership than single-man action.

Strengths, Risks, and What’s Next

If accurate, these leaks indicate a lean, focused campaign, with a strong narrative, tactical depth and replayability emphasis rather than an emphasis on length. That said fans would be justified to be a bit wary: a shorter run-time could be criticized and if the squad mechanics are simplified it may feel shallow if executed poorly.

The real test will come with official reveals, gameplay trailers, developer interviews or beta footage that show these systems in action. Until then it all remains speculative.

With time, if even a portion of any of these leaks is true, you could think about Battlefield 6’s campaign as one of the most unique experiences in the franchise overall mixing larger-scale warfare combined with elements that included an aspect of tactical leadership to this specific theatre.
