Banned Dota 2 player Sensibility streamed leaked clean feed of EEU DPC match without delay

Not everything is going smoothly in Dota 2 esports at the moment. First, the Lima Major was in danger because of unrest in Peru, then the Chinese team Knights, which qualified for the Major, was accused of match-fixing. Now there are also problems in the second division of the DPC.

During the broadcast of the second division of the European DPC, a clean feed leaked, and the banned Dota 2 player Aleksandr “Sensibility” Filatov got his hands on it. The player, who got banned from valve events for match-fixing in 2023, broadcast a stream from the DPC EEU 2023 Div 2 with no delay. The stream ran 5 minutes before the official broadcast. What went wrong?

Portuguese broadcasters at fault

The tournament manager, Paragon Events, blames the Portuguese broadcast for the clean feed leak. Sensibility streamed the game between Cybercats and YNT with no delay, creating an unfair betting advantage for those who follow him on social media. Those who don’t, saw the live match with a five-minute delay. The official statement from Paragon Events reads:

“Today, during the official game in DPC EEU Division 2 between Cybercats and YNT, the video data of the game was leaked. Third parties gained access to the instant transmission and used it for their own purposes. We investigated the situation and found that this was through the fault of Portuguese broadcasters. These people were immediately cut off from the lobby and play continued. Thank you to everyone who brought this issue to our attention and our apologies to players and viewers.”

$3,500 for the clean feed?

Sensitivity claims someone from China provided the stream. He said the person wanted $3,500 for the Clean Feed and still presents himself as a Samaritan for making the stream available to his subscribers for free. Much more frightening, however, is his statement that he is able to get such streams for “all games in DPC”. Who knows how much is behind it, after all he is known for spreading lies.

During the third game, Paragon seemed to have fixed the problem. It was still running on Sensibility’s channels, but he didn’t show anything on social media. Therefore, it could well be that the tournament organizers were able to fix the leak before the start of the third map.

Reports of match-fixing in Dota games have been piling up lately. One can only hope that those responsible are caught quickly, so that everyone can enjoy a fair game again!
