Timothy “autimatic” Ta has become the latest CS:GO pro to make the switch to VALORANT, with the American having signed for T1. The former Gen.G player joins the leading organization having enjoyed a fantastic career in CS:GO with the likes of Team SoloMid and Cloud9.

The news was announced on the official T1 VALORANT Twitter page, with head coach David Denis having posted a video featuring Autimatic’s highlights. The organization has made no secret of its desires to become one of the leading names in the VALORANT scene, with T1 already eyeing up a win in the 2021 Champions Tour.

Why the Arrival of Autimatic is a Major Boost for T1

It remains to be seen whether the arrival of Autimatic means that Keven “AZK” Lariviere will depart the team, however T1 did suggest so in stating that they require a roster that “aligns with the values of T1.” AZK was recently benched, while the future of Braxton “brax” Pierce also remains up in the air, following an image of the T1 lineup without him.
However, Autimatic’s arrival is a welcome boost for the team, with the24-year-old set to line up with former teammate Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham. The duo helped lead Cloud9 to the ELEAGUE Major Boston: 2018 title during their time in CS:GO, a success which means that they remain the only American team to win a major championship in the game.

Why Autimatic Switched from CS:GO to VALORANT

Autimatic had been playing CS:Go under the banner of Gen.G, where he arrived in December 2019. However, with the departures of Damian “daps” Steele and Sam “s0m” Oh having hit the team hard, as well as the Covid-19 pandemic having led to the cancellation of a host of tournaments, it comes as little surprise that Autimatic is the latest pro to switch to VALORANT. Autimatic was actually the last remaining active player on the Gen.G CS:GO roster, with the American having thanked the organization for their support during his time with them.
