fragster Shubh 6. March 2022

After a devastating defeat against OpTic Texas, it was a do-or-die match for team Atlanta against  Los Angeles Thieves. Atlanta outfoxed the LA thieves and eliminated them from the tournament, moving one step closer to the Finals. The team will face Toronto Ultra in their next round of the 2022 Call of duty League Major One.

Tuscan Hardpoint, was the first map of the match. Faze started dominating the thieves in the early stages of the game and gained an early lead.

Despite the lead, the Thieves showed why they’re one of the best Hardpoint teams in the world. They turn the tables and secured a 49-point victory to take a 1-0 lead over Atlanta. This round adds one more to the list of consecutive defeats for team Atlanta FaZe. Before this, the team had 3 consecutive losses against Optic Texas in their last match.

In the second game of the series, FaZe took an early lead again, this time a  4-2 lead in the Search and Destroy. Just like the previous round, LA Thieves bounced back and so did their grenades. In round 11, Envoy’s expertly placed grenade hit both Arcitys and aBeZy, giving L.A. a 4-2 life advantage.

Thieves got the momentum they needed to win the round and take a 2-0 lead in the series. Team FaZe, on the other side, was having a rough day. The possibility of being swept again is gradually becoming a certainty. Faze must repeat what Optic Texas did to them in order to advance to the next round.

FaZe turn the tableS and made a much-needed comeback

One more defeat was a ticket back home and FaZe chose not to take it. The table was turned again but this time it was FaZe who did it. Arcitys and Simp both returned to their slaughtering ways, with K/Ds of 1.33 and 1.42, respectively to secure a win for the team by 3-1.

The team got the momentum and won the 4th round as well but this time it was Cellim who did the slaughter and lightened up the kill feed. He put up a staggering 35-12 statline and registered approximately 3,500 damage.

In the fifth round of the game, Atlanta secured a 6-2 win to give them the reverse sweep victory. The long-overdue comeback of FaZe was well deserved. After losing five maps in a row across two series, the defending CDL champions showed a ton of resolve to respond and rattle off the three straight maps needed to keep their championship hopes alive.
