Atlanta FaZe attacked with airsoft guns at CDL Major 4

Atlanta FaZe players have been airsoft gunned in a drive-by during the recent CDL Major 4. None of the players were injured. Who is behind the attack is still a mystery.

Shock at Atlanta FaZe: several players from the organization were attacked on the street by a passing car during CDL Major 4. Several men stopped their car near the players and shot them with airsoft guns.

Airsoft guns are realistic replicas of real guns, however they fire small plastic pellets rather than real ammunition. Although plastic balls sound very harmless at first, they can also cause a lot of damage, because up close they cause bruises and if they hit an eye, for example, you can even go blind.

The strange incident shocked the entire Call of Duty community and caused many to speculate about the incident.

aBezy comments on attack

Yesterday, April 25th, Atlanta FaZe player aBezy addressed the incident on a Twitch stream.

The player recalled seconds before the attack: “We had a team dinner and we were on our way back from the restaurant. I think me, Austin and Crowder went ahead of everyone. We were on the sidewalk near the hotel when these guys pulled up with a car and yelled.”

“I turned around and it looked like they were holding a gun out the window, but it was an airsoft gun or a nerf gun or something. They all shot us, but luckily we had our hoods up so it didn’t really hurt. It just felt like something tapped the back of my sweatshirt.”

ABeZy also said during the stream that he was in shock at the moment and had never experienced anything like it. Luckily, Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris , Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat and James “Crowder” Crowder reacted quickly and protected themselves, so no one was hurt. nevertheless, it could easily have happened and an attack is and remains an attack, whether with real or airsoft weapons.

Who were the attackers?

It is not yet clear who launched the attack. Players turned away, apparently not realizing much. Many people have speculated that another team, fans, or just a random attack from strangers could be behind it, but there is no further information on that.

In the Call of Duty League Major 4, Atlanta FaZe first beat Seattle Surge in Winners Round 1, but then suffered a loss to the LA Thieves. Although Atlanta FaZe played well, Optic was even stronger and ultimately defeated the team to then play the Thieves in the finals.
