Apex Legends Season 27 Amped Patch Notes: Map Changes, Legend Reworks, Anti-Cheat Update & More

fragster Ahsan Kabir 4. November 2025

Respawn has finally laid out everything coming in Apex Legends Season 27, called Amped, and there’s quite a lot shifting all at once. Olympus is getting reworked again, several Legends are being pushed back into the spotlight, and the weapon meta is shifting toward fast, close-range fights. Along with that, Respawn squeezed in a number of behind-the-scenes fixes for audio, stability, and ranked progression.

Apex Legends Season 27 Amped Patch Notes

Anti-Cheat System Removes Over 1,000 Bots in Two Weeks

Before digging into the gameplay tweaks, Respawn confirmed their newest bot-detection model went live in early October and already banned more than 1,000 accounts. Most removals happened on PC and Nintendo Switch. After the bans went out, reports for AFK behavior and abandoned matches dropped noticeably, which they say proves the system is working as intended. Respawn says they will keep tuning this tool and share future updates whenever needed.

Audio Overhaul Introduces “Focused” Mix and Better Footstep Clarity

One of the most repeated complaints about Apex has been audio inconsistency, and Season 27 tries to address it with new systems. A separate Focused audio profile can now be turned on if players want more control over how combat sounds. Enemy footsteps are supposed to cut through louder moments more clearly, and transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces should not sound as jarring now. Respawn also added better telemetry so they can actually track when audio fails instead of guessing. Feedback will still be monitored after launch.

Ranked Tweaks and New Seasonal Rewards

Kill Points have been readjusted so eliminations reward more RP, no matter the final placement, instead of only favoring high-finish squads. Loot spread across Ranked POIs is also being normalized, so landing spots feel less like a coin flip. The Ranked Ladder Champion Dive Trail now only needs two seasonal completions instead of three, meant to reduce the grind while still keeping it somewhat exclusive.

New Wishlist System and Amped Seasonal Pack

A brand-new Wishlist option lets players tag five Legends and two weapons they want cosmetics. When a Wishlist-enabled pack is opened, at least one drop is guaranteed to match the selection unless that character’s entire cosmetic pool is already owned. Wishlist resets each season, but more edits can be bought using Legend Tokens.
The new Amped Seasonal Pack runs all season and has a chance to unlock the “Bird of Prey” Mythic R-99 and other exclusive skins. Up to five packs can be earned through challenges and Battle Pass tiers.

Meta Shifts: Triple Take Returns, C.A.R. Moves to Care Package

Weapon rotation brings the Triple Take back to ground loot, while the C.A.R. SMG gets removed from the Care Package pool. A new Double Tap Alternator Hop-Up, plus a Gold Laser Sight for pistols and SMGs, suggests Season 27 will lean harder into short-range gunfights.

Legend Updates: Valkyrie, Rampart, Horizon, Revenant

Valkyrie gains higher Skyward Dive height, shorter cooldowns, and missile swarm scans, making her far more reliable in fights and rotations.

Rampart’s walls scale with Evo levels and can store damage to give teammates speed boosts, shifting her toward a more supportive, space-control style.

Horizon gets shorter cooldowns and faster lift speed again, plus new upgrade perks that improve air mobility.

Revenant has his Shadow Pounce distance reduced to stop extreme third-party jumps at high ranks.

Additional Gameplay Changes

  • Heat Shields removed from all standard BR modes
  • All Legends now gain the Mantle Boost movement option
  • Replicators can craft arrow bundles specifically for the Bocek
  • New server-side tools track unexpected performance drops
