Apex Legends Season 16: All Buffs and Nerfs

The new Apex Legends Season is here and with it the long-awaited buffs and nerfs for Legends. Rest assured, Season 16 of the battle royale will turn the meta upside down again.

The Season 15 update introduced the new Legend, Catalyst, and the new map, but omitted Legend balance. This is rather untypical for the season patches, but the new season now brings some changes. Unfortunately, we won’t get a new legend or map for the 16th season for the time being.

Here are the patch notes for the new Apex Legends Season!

Buffs & Nerfs in Season 16

A total of seven legends will be changed with the new update. We’ve got all the buffs and nerfs for you right here, so you know what to expect the next time you dive into the game. The Legends that will be nerfed or buffed are Seer, Bloodhound, Wraith, Pathfinder, Horizon, Mirage, and Lifeline.

Seer:

• The Seer’s ultimate ability, Exhibit, is getting a nerf on cooldown and duration, with Respawn describing the nerf as “pretty hard.”
• The Seer’s passive, Heart Seeker, will now have a charge time, meaning it can no longer be spammed by players.
• Also, she is no longer constant, coming and going with the “impulses” of the enemies she spots.
• It will also be audible to nearby enemies, which could give away the seer’s location when deployed.

Wraith:

• Wraith can now place a portal twice as far as before and “gets faster as she travels that extra distance”.

Horizon:

• Decreased firing accuracy during Horizon’s tactical ability, Gravity Elevator, making it harder to hit targets.
• However, the speed at which it rises into the air has been slightly increased.

Valkyrie:

• Enemy locations are no longer marked when using her ultimate ability, Skyfall.

Bloodhound:

• Bloodhound’s Ultimate, Beast of the Hunt, has been reworked to align with the new concept of White Raven – it no longer speeds up Tactical ability recharge.
• Instead, she now finds “ethereal white ravens on the map.” When interacting with these ravens, they will fly in the direction of the nearest enemy. This creates a longer hunting loop.

Mirage:

• After reviving, Mirage and the revived ally become stealthed for 3 seconds. This 3 second duration only applies if the player is unarmed.
• If he draws his weapon, the camouflage is broken immediately.
  When a clone is shot, a small icon will now follow the cloaked enemy for a short time.

Pathfinder:

• Pathfinder’s zip line has had its range and travel speed increased “significantly,” meaning it can travel farther and faster than before.

Lifeline:

• Significant reduction in “Slow Penalty” when activating her revive.
• Significantly increased drop speed and range of her ultimate ability, Care Package.

That’s all the changes coming to the game in the next season update. At the same time, the Valentine’s Day event is also just around the corner with its own LTM called Date Night! Apex Legends Season 16 is coming February 14th and it’s sure to be a breath of fresh air!
