New Apex Legends season might start in August! While there’s no official confirmation or exact release date for Season 14, fans found a lot of leaked information, including stuff and features that could possibly be added to the game. Here’s what’s known so far.

New Legend

Each new Apex Legends season promises to bring a lot of content to the game and the upcoming one isn’t an exception. Fans speculate about the new playable Legend whose name, according to leaks, will be Vantage. She is a character based on hunting with a bird companion and her main weapon is a sniper rifle.

Some speculate that Vantage can have a lore connection with Bloodhound, the hero from the base game who also specializes in hunting and exploring. The main argument is that her colour scheme is similar to Bloodhound’s legendary scheme, which leads to the thought that they share some of the story and can be from the same planet. Some leaks also claim that apart from Vantage, the developers are preparing relevant safari event where players need to conquer Goliath at Storm Point.

New maps and weapons

Apex players also expect new maps to be added to the game. The developers will most likely add a new Arena map, new POIs and fixes to existing battlefields. There are also rumours about the new Divided Moon Battle Royale-sized map, but there’s no proof that it will be released in Season 14.

Regarding weapons, there’s info about new burst-fire assault rifle called Nemesis, a hip-fire buff of R99 and new Heirlooms. Players also previously complained about the game’s matchmaking system, so maybe the devs will make some changes to it.

Aim assist fix

Another important update will fix aim assist as it is available for people who use controllers with PCs or play on consoles. Aim assist definitely gives a lot of advantage to players compared to those who play on PCs with a mouse and keyboard, so developers decided to make some adjustments to the system. Earlier this year, John Larson, Live Balance Designer at Respawn Entertainment, revealed that the studio is working on aim improvements.

Release date

While there’s no official information about Season 14 official launch date, the Battle Pass of Season 13 expires on August 8, so many fans expect the new season to start right away on August 9. The new Battle Pass will cost 950 Apex Coin or 10 dollars and feature 100 cosmetic items. Until then, players can still try to earn the highest rank.
