Apex Legends Mobile is live and getting a lot of exclusive content that will only be available for Android and iOS devices. This includes the new, mobile-exclusive Legend Fade. Here’s all there’s to know about the game and its new hero.

What’s in store for Apex Legends Mobile?

First of all, let’s clarify the differences between PC and Mobile versions of the game. Apex Legends Mobile will be treated separately from Respawn’s original battle royale, which means it should get new seasons, events, and other updates. Moreover, the games won’t be cross-platform and the progress in PC version can’t be transferred to mobile.

Fade’s Abilities and gameplay

The new, mobile-exclusive hero Fade is a mobile version of Wraith, with his abilities revolving mostly around fast movement and escaping. Fade’s passive ability called Slipstream gives him a temporary speed boost after he slides, while his tactical ability Flashback allows him to take a few steps back during a fight. Fade’s ultimate ability is called Phase Chamber, which gives him a throwing weapon that explodes and traps enemies in an area where they can neither deal nor receive damage.

Fade’s abilities allow him to create some chaotic moments in combat, which he will naturally use to his advantage. Moreover, he has a great tool for repositioning with his tactics and his passive ability allows him to escape tricky situations.

Multiple game modes

Apex Legends Mobile also features ten “classic” legends, namely Octane, Wraith, Caustic, Bloodhound, Lifeline, Pathfinder, Gibraltar, Bangalore, and Mirage. The game has two common game modes — Battle Royale and Arenas, as well as an exclusive 6v6 Team Deathmatch mode.

Deathmatch comes in two versions — Clash and Deathmatch. In Deathmatch, eliminated players are revived near their teammates, while in Clash they are resurrected at their home base. Arenas also get a new lava-filled map called Overflow.

While Apex Legends Mobile reviews are so far mostly positive, there are some minor bugs common for the recently launched game. Players who experience lags and bugs are advised to wait for the first patch, which should be arriving soon.
