Apex Legends Fight or Fright 2022 Halloween event is live

This year’s Apex Legends Halloween event will again feature three Limited Time Modes (LTM) and terrifying new cosmetics. Apex Legends... Fragster | 5. October 2022

This year’s Apex Legends Halloween event will again feature three Limited Time Modes (LTM) and terrifying new cosmetics. Apex Legends is about to get spookier than usual — largely due to the presence of another Revenant in the Shadow Realm, thanks to the Fight or Fright event, which started today and will run until November 1.

Apex’s Halloween event Fight or Fright has been held every October since the shooter’s debut in 2019. This year, the celebrations will last for four weeks, and each week will feature a different LTM. The Halloween theme Shadow Royale is back again, this time the time of day is Olympus night.

Shadow Royale

The first mode in the rotation will be available between October 4 – 11, but will also return later in the month. In this mode, players who die become shadow versions of the Legends who cannot use weapons but respawn indefinitely, walk through walls, and deal increased melee damage. Squads are in combat as long as one member of the team is alive.

Gun Run

Following Shadow Royale, players will be able to participate in Gun Run between October 11 – 18. Gun Run was introduced as part of the Beast of Prey event, which ended on October 4 — the same day Fight or Fright began. The mode is Apex’s twist on the established Gun Game mode, in which players fight their way through a gauntlet of guns, progressing (and gaining a new weapon) with each kill.

Control mode

During the third week of the event, between October 18 – 25, players can expect LTM Control, which is reminiscent of Battlefield. In this mode, two teams of nine (made up of three squads of three legends) compete for control of specific points on the map.

This time, the modes take place on Lava Siphon (World’s Edge), Barometer (Storm Point), and Hammond Labs (Olympus), with the latter taking place on the floating city at night. Shadow Royale returns to the rotation for the final week of the event, offering players another try at playing Halloween mode before it disappears.

Fight or Fright skins

In addition to the four-week LTM rotation, players can also acquire new skins for this year’s version of the event, including cosmetics for Ash, Seer, Octane, and Wattson. These skins are available throughout the event either through direct purchase or bundled with various Apex packs. Moreover, some packs with older Fight or Fright skins will also be available throughout the event.

Two coveted skins are also returning during the event. Wraith’s Voidwalker cosmetic will be available in the shop between October 4-11 along with some bundles. This is one of the most popular Wraith skins due to its uniqueness and importance: it is based on the Voidwalker short film released in September 2019.

Next week, players will be able to get another skin based on an episode of Tales from Outland in the in-game shop — Pathfinder’s Memoir Noir will be available between October 11-18 with a few unique packs.
