Apex Legends Season 15 is in full swing and players are already wondering when Eclipse will end and when Season 16 will finally begin. Here’s all the info we’ve gathered so far, including leaks, and when the new season will start.

Apex Legends Season 15 is well underway and players continue to enjoy all of the new content that has arrived with Eclipse. Whether it’s the all-new Legend Catalyst, the Broken Moon map, or the healing item sticker cosmetics, it’s safe to say that Respawn has brought a lot of excitement and fun to players with the last major update.

However, a large part of the community has already shifted its focus on the next seasonal patch and can’t wait for the next season to start. Let’s take a look at what we know about Apex Legends Season 16 and when we can expect it to go live.

Season 16 is coming soon

Seasonal updates typically appear every few months in Apex Legends.
Apex Legends Eclipse was released almost 2 months ago, on November 1st, 2022, along with a new seasonal Battle Pass. As usual, the Battle Pass countdown timer tells us when we can expect the end of the season.

Currently, Apex Legends Season 15 is set to end on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023. So it’s safe to assume that Season 16 will start on that date, or possibly a few days later. That’s about the average length of an Apex Legends season, albeit a bit longer than we’re used to.

What’s coming with the Season 16 update?

We’ve already gotten the first hints of what to expect in Season 16. Bad news first: Currently, there are rumors that this will be the first season since launch that fans will not see a new Legend. While that’s sure to disappoint some fans, there’s good news as well. We will likely get major changes to the existing character pool. Not only are we expecting buffs and nerfs (which didn’t happen this season), but according to some leaks, there might be an overhaul to Legend tiers and abilities as well.

Alongside these changes to the legends of the game, we also expect a new SMG and the Nemesis assault rifle to appear in the game. In short, there’s a lot for players to look forward to, even though there’s no Legend in the pipeline. As always, all of this information has to be taken with a pinch of salt as it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
