The roster of DPC-qualified teams is complete. As the current PGL Arlington Major continues, the teams gained lacking points and finalized the list of squads who definitely will perform at The International 11.

The International 2022 Teams that qualified via DPC points

  • Thunder Awaken
  • PSG.LGD
  • Beastcoast
  • OG
  • Team Spirit
  • BOOM Esports
  • Team Aster
  • TSM
  • Tundra Esports
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Outsiders

At the time of writing, the leaders of DPC ranking are PSG.LGD with 2170 points. The Chinese team dominated their region for the whole season and even before the last major gained the top-two spot in the leaderboards, trailing only Thunder Awaken, who’s in the lead.

Thunder Awaken earned a generous amount of DPC points during regional tournaments, however, this is not exactly the indicator of their high-tier performance. At PGL Antwerp Major, they didn’t manage to get out of the group stage and their last match was against the above-mentioned PSG.LGD knocked them out of the competition with a 2-0 score.

PSG.LGD can now be considered one of the strongest teams on the Dota 2 pro scene, as now they’re contenders for entering Grand Final in Arlington. However, everything will be clear on August 13, when they will meet with Team Spirit in the upper bracket semi-finals and battle for a slot. Regarding Spirit, they’re on the third spot right now in the ladder with 1660 points. So whether PSG.LGD or Team Spirit lose in the semi-finals major it doesn’t matter that much, as both teams already secured their places at the upcoming TI11.

Two Russian teams got in despite sanctions

What’s more, Team Spirit is only one of two Russian teams that will attend the TI11, though not without changes. They had to move their roster to Belgrade, Serbia, to provide the possibility for the roster to train together and to ease obtaining player visas. Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the sanctions made it almost impossible for Russian players to receive permission for entering other countries. Even though Team Spirit transferred to Serbia, they tried to get visas for Arlington Major in five countries and only in the sixth one, they achieved the goal.

The second Russian team that will participate in TI11 is Outsiders. It’s a roster of Virtus.pro created under a neutral tag to avoid sanctions and compete on the pro scene without fully representing the organization.

Apart from DPC points, another six teams will claim a spot at The International 2022 via Regional Qualifiers in North America, South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, China and Southeast Asia. Plus, two more spots can be secured in the Last Chance Qualifier. The International 11 will be held offline in Singapore on October 15-30, featuring 20 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams.
