All teams invited to BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR closed qualifiers

A day after IEM Katowice ended, Valve updated its Regional Rankings, giving a preliminary list of teams that would be invited to compete in the BLAST.tv Paris Regional Major Ranking (RMR) closed qualifiers.

Valve updated its ranking of the top CS:GO teams based on the outcomes of recent competitions. Based on the new rankings, the Wikipedia of esports, Liquidipedia published a preliminary list of the teams that will be invited to the closed qualifiers for the BLAST.tv Paris RMR tournaments.

The new ranking determines half of the teams in each closed qualifier, while the other half will qualify through upcoming open qualifiers. Popular CS:GO teams including G2, Astralis, MIBR, Evil Geniuses, Complexity, 00NATION, and Imperial have succeeded in obtaining direct invites, skipping the grueling open qualification stage.

While most teams that made it to the list will certainly compete in the closed qualifier RMR of their respective region, there are still some factors that can influence the final list, such as roster alterations, affiliations with multiple teams, and a team’s decision to compete in different regions.

Brazil’s MIBR, paiN, and TeamOne have earned invites to the North American Closed Qualifier, however, they can choose whether to play in South America or North America. The three teams listed after them on the list—Strife, Detonate, and Timbermen—might fill their spots if they choose to participate in the South American RMR.  

Middle Eastern team Nixuh disbanded its roster and could forfeit its spot in the closed qualifiers. Bravado’s lineup has also undergone a significant revamp, and it may also forfeit its spot.
