NetEase Games has shared the official list of partner teams for Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026. In total, 12 teams have been chosen as official partners. These include past champions, well-known esports brands, and some new teams joining for the first time.
What Is the Marvel Rivals Ignite Partner Program?
The Partner Teams Program is designed to keep Marvel Rivals esports stable in the long run. Official partner teams get strong support, including better access to major tournaments, more visibility through broadcasts, and revenue sharing from in-game items. NetEase wants top organizations to invest confidently while still giving new teams a path in through open qualifiers.
Partner teams also receive perks like limited relegation protection, which boosts their chances of reaching events such as the Mid Season Finals and Grand Finals. They can earn extra income from exclusive cosmetics like team skins, and they get guaranteed international spots, input on league formats, and early access to updates to prepare for upcoming changes.
The Full 12-Team Partner Lineup
The partner program features a mix of well-known esports giants and newer teams ready to prove themselves. The teams are divided into three main regions.
Americas Region (7 Teams)
The Americas has the largest number of partner slots, with seven organizations selected:
- 100 Thieves
- NRG Shock
- Sentinels
- Spacestation Gaming
- FlyQuest
- TSM
- Liquid Citadel
EMEA Region (3 Teams)
Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will be represented by three major teams:
- Virtus.pro
- Natus Vincere
- Team Heretics
Pacific Region (2 Teams)
The Pacific region has two partner teams:
- Gen.G Esports
- REJECT
Champions Are Back to Defend Their Titles
Virtus.pro returns as one of the biggest names in the league. The team won the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2025 Grand Finals, making them the reigning champions heading into the new season. They will now try to defend their title against stronger and deeper competition.
In North America, 100 Thieves also enters with a strong reputation. They previously won the Marvel Rivals Invitational NA 2025, proving they can compete at the highest level.
New Partnerships and and Missing Names
Two new partnerships are already shaking up Marvel Rivals Ignite for 2026. Liquid Citadel was created when Team Liquid joined forces with Citadel Gaming, combining Liquid’s esports resources with Citadel’s strong in-game talent. NRG Shock is another major team-up, bringing together NRG and the San Francisco Shock, whose Overwatch experience adds extra hero-shooter knowledge.
Meanwhile, several familiar organizations were not chosen as partners. ENVY missed out after pausing its Marvel Rivals roster last year, despite finishing second at the 2025 Mid Season Finals. China’s OUG was also left out even after winning Ignite Stage 1 and Stage 2. Other absent teams include DarkZero, Rad Esports, and Crazy Raccoon, all frequent contenders in 2025.
New Promotion and Relegation System
Along with the partner teams announcement, there’s also a new system, using Championship Points to rank teams. Any team can earn points through open tournaments called Marvel Rivals Championships.
If a team does well, they can challenge lower-ranked teams for their LAN spots. Partner teams still have some protection, but others can compete for their place.
Conclusion
The 2026 season kicks off in April, spanning four regions with 48 teams and over $3 million in prizes. The Marvel Rivals Ignite partner teams are now ready, and we can most certainly look forward to intense battles. With big prizes and new rules, the upcoming season looks promising. What do you think about these announcements and changes?
