All League of Legends Character Appearances in Arcane Season 1 & 2

League of Legends players keep their enthusiasm high for the premiere of Arcane’s new season. With the release of Season 2, Act 1, fans saw familiar faces and new appearances in the storyline. Besides, Riot subtly introduced cameos of some League characters that make people giddy. With all of that, here are all of the League of Legends character appearances in Arcane. 

Season 1, Act 1

The Netflix series Arcane introduced the origins of two iconic League champions in the utopian Piltover and the oppressive underground of Zaun. Along the episodes, some League characters made a striking appearance in the series to leave an impact on the story. Act 1 marks the beginning of the series that grew with love from League of Legends players. With that, here are the characters that showed up during Act 1 episodes. 

Vi and Jinx

Sisters Vi and Jinx serve as the two main protagonists of the beloved series. In Arcane, they unravel the history of these two champions and their complex relationship in the narratives. It’ll show constant challenges that come to their relationship as their lives take opposite paths. 

Ekko

He first appeared in the series as the young boy in Benzo’s shop that is fixing a grandfather clock. It is a clever nod to his future abilities in the series, which is the time manipulation. With his white hair and energetic personality, he is immediately recognized by League players and enthusiasts. 

Singed

His subtle debut in the series almost made him unnoticeable. Singed appeared as the mysterious chemist in the episodes of Act 1. Although it is different from his mad scientist persona in the league, his features remained the same. This made him distinctive with the sunken cheekbones, pointed nose, and large forehead.  

Caitlyn

Belonging to Piltover’s upper class, Caitlyn’s character plays an important role in the series. She is unmistakable with her long, dark blue hair that stands out among other characters. Her story in the series will see transformation from privileged noble to a determined enforcer.  

Jayce

First seen alongside Caitlyn, Jayce’s introduction comes during a dramatic scene involving an Arcane crystal explosion. His journey from ambitious inventor to influential council member shapes much of Piltover’s storyline. 

Heimerdinger

The brilliant Yordle scientist makes his entrance counseling Jayce during his detention. As one of Piltover’s leading minds, Heimerdinger plays a crucial role in the city’s technological development. 

Viktor

Initially appearing as Jayce’s research partner, Viktor starts as an idealistic scientist before beginning his transformation toward his augmented form known to League players. 

Season 1, Act 2

Season 1, Act 2, introduced cameos of more characters from the League of Legends. However, these characters won’t play crucial role in the series and only made a single episode appearance in the series.  

Kindred

In an unexpected cameo, the eternal hunters Lamb and Wolf appear in a unique form during a scene in an undercity brothel, represented through mysterious masks that align with their traditional imagery. 

Teemo

The beloved yordle scout makes a subtle appearance in a book during Act 2, shown in an illustration during a tense scene in Marcus’s house.

Season 2, Act 1

The anticipated sequel to Arcane did not disappoint with the appearances of new characters from the League. It did bring the excitement up in the community following the roles these characters will play as the story progresses.  

Ambessa Medarda

A significant addition to Season 2, Ambessa is a Noxian warlord who became playable in League of Legends in November 2024. As Mel’s mother, she brings Noxian politics to Piltover’s already complex political landscape. 

Warwick

Finally making his full appearance after being teased in Season 1, Warwick emerges as Singed’s latest experiment. The transformation of Vander into this monstrous hunter adds a tragic dimension to the story.

Janna

While not physically present, Janna appears through stone sculptures and references in Zaun. Her legacy as a protective wind spirit watching over Zaun’s people plays into key story moments, particularly during a confrontation between Vi and Jinx.

Meanwhile, some characters also return in the series, entering a new arc in their storyline. Vi joins the Piltover Enforcers and wields the enhanced Hextech gauntlets in the Act 1 episodes of Season 2. As for Jinx, she made an alliance with Sevika, one of his most loyal goons, following the death of Silco. Ekko progresses on his work with Heimerdinger to further understand Arcane. 

Viktor, on the other hand, revealed to survive the lab explosion and is working on with his new ability, “Glorious Evolution.” Jayce struggles to grapple with both political and personal challenges in his life. Lastly, Caitlyn plays a leadership role now despite dealing with grief from personal loss.

As of now, there are still two more acts left before season 2 finishes. With this, fans are expecting to see more of League characters as the tension rises.
