The nominees for the Esports Awards 2025 are finally ready to roll, and what a lineup we have! And, we are hitting the brakes this year to celebrate the best of the last decade. Indeed, it’s a celebration of accomplishments from a decade of amazing plays, crazy moments, and unforgettable personalities. Furthermore, we’re going to celebrate the games that came to define a generation and the streamers, teams, and media platforms that built whole communities around them at our 10th Anniversary celebration.
What are the Decade Awards?
The Decade Awards have been brought to life to honor Esports Awards’ 10th anniversary. This also honors the most significant figures, teams, games, and moments that positively influenced esports over the last decade. In addition, the Decade Award is quite different from the usual annual Esports awards, as we celebrate things on a longer timescale. Instead of a yearly consideration, we recognize long-term impacts, consistency, and influence across esports, honoring those who have continually impacted the competitive gaming ecosystem.
The Decade Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on August 10, 2025, during the Esports World Cup, as part of its “Summer of Celebration.” It’s a remarkable occasion in the Esports Awards journey, which has grown tremendously since its small start in 2015.
Voting Process
Voting on the public side is currently available and is taking place on the official Esports Awards website. Furthermore, to make sure everyone’s participating fairly, the number of votes allotted per person will be one vote per day. Thus, voters will have an option to vote daily, encouraging the ongoing engagement that ends on August 11, 2025.
In most categories, the public gets 25% of the vote, while an expert panel gets 75% of the vote. This means both the community voice and expert opinion can contribute to the final decision. However, some of the awards (Esports Content Creator of the Year, Streamer of the Year, and Esports Personality of the Year) will be determined based solely on public votes. This makes it even more important for fans to actually get involved.
