The Battlefield 6 Open Beta is live, and with many players already diving in, it hasn’t taken long for a range of bugs and strange problems to surface. While developers at EA DICE are already working on fixes, a growing list of issues has been spotted in this early stage. From visual glitches to gameplay mechanics misfiring, here’s what appears to be going wrong so far.

Soldier-Related Bugs and Movement Glitches
There’s been quite a few issues with soldier controls and movement stuff. One of the bugs makes your gun take longer to show up after running, which kind of mess things up during fights. Also, trying to ping enemies from stationary guns don’t always work, and melee attacks sometimes show prompts but doesn’t actually do anything.
The camera perspective is acting strange too. Players sometimes gets stuck in first-person view when they redeploy from open vehicle seats, and can’t change it back. Zipline animations are not looking finished yet, bit clunky, and going prone with mounted weapons sometimes pushes you out of place. A couple of players even said they fell through the ground after reviving someone. Aim assist near smoke is working strangely too, kind of all over the place.
Weapon Attachments and Scoping Problems
Weapon customization is still not quite there yet. Barrel attachments are showing placeholder texts, and some LMGs are showing wrong or missing stats. Scoping isn’t reliable either; custom scopes might mess with your view, with parts clipping weirdly. Sometimes the scope you choose don’t match the one that actually gets used.
UI and Interface Instability
Interfaces also have some big problems. The in-game map can stay open and won’t close, while the crouch key might not register if you try remapping. Objective icons and gadget prompts disappear sometimes. Resupply feedback also might not show properly. Sometimes spotted vehicle icons won’t show at all. If someone you’re spectating leaves the match, objective icons can just vanish.
Visual Bugs and Environmental Issues
Capstone’s lighting looks too dark in areas, not right at all. Ziplines are missing textures and the firing range is showing weird screen effects. Barbed wire is not slowing or hurting players how it’s supposed to.
Controller and Settings Limitations
Map opacity slider isn’t doing anything at the moment, and DualSense vibration doesn’t trigger properly when used wirelessly.
PC Crashes and Workarounds
Some PC players are having crashes when launching, DirectX 12 errors mostly. Repairing the game sometimes helps. Others have to turn off a Windows setting (ASLR) and restart before it works.
PS5-Specific Language Conflict
On PlayStation 5, some players end up on a strange screen due to language mismatch. The only way to fix is to uninstall the game, change the system language to English, and reinstall.
The beta is still rough in places, but is slowly improving. More updates are coming soon.
