A few days ago, a report surfaced online about a likely return of some of the classic Battle Royale maps in Warzone 2 in the near future. While Activision has not officially stated this, the information claims that the developers are sending out polls to community members to choose from their favorite maps in COD’s BR history.
Al Mazrah is the main map of Warzone 2, but fans will surely want to know what’s coming in the future. Let’s remember that the developers have stated that they want to listen to the community and make Warzone 2 a friendly place for everyone.
Warzone 2 Survey
The survey can be a big step towards creating a great ecosystem based on the faithful and lovers of the Call of Duty saga. Here’s what the poll offered fans who had the opportunity to vote.
The always accurate and informative CoD leaker, CharlieIntel, posted on his Twitter account that Activision sent out a new poll to find out what people think about the upcoming Warzone 2 map and what they would prefer.
Activision is sending out a new survey asking people what they think the next Warzone map should be, and it includes remasters of old Warzone maps as options. Does not confirm any potential returns, at this point. pic.twitter.com/gy4tN3rYDh

The poll has five options to choose from:
- A completely new map
- Verdansk ’84 (2021)
- Caldera (2021)
- Original Verdansk (2020)
- Blackout (Black Ops 4, 2019)
While this is not mentioned in the survey, many people in the community assume that remastered versions of them will appear in the game if the old maps return.
Fans have long been asking for the return of Verdansk. So, creating a survey to determine what players want is undoubtedly a spectacular initiative on Activision’s part.
While Caldera is still playable as part of Warzone Caldera, it is unclear why this map is included in the voting and whether a remaster is necessary. On the other hand, including the Blackout map has also made fans nostalgic. A large part of the community surely wants the good old days of Black Ops IV to return to Warzone.
In the Twitter thread, some community members also suggested creating a rotation-based map system where players can play all the maps at different times.

However, none of this confirms anything or indicates a possible return of any of the maps. The survey was conducted to find out what the community wants right now. Fans hope that Activision will listen to their demands and create content accordingly.
Modernized blackout map could be fun.

Nostalgia grips the community
There is no doubt that if this is true, it is an excellent initiative by Activision to regain the interest that some players have lost in the game. Not only for surveying to know the opinion of the community. This allows the fans to participate in future game modifications.
Also, many fans long for the return of Verdanks to the game, even from the Warzone Caldera era. The community is sentimental about remembering those great battles during the Covid-19 pandemic on this great map.
