Level Infinite has released the PUBG Mobile 3.9 beta version, and things look quite different this time. Players now find themselves in a more futuristic setting, with mechanical beasts and glowing tech filling the battlefield. The update mixes new combat features and locations, and early access has already opened up for some. While not everything is perfect, what’s already shown is that this update is going in a bold direction.

PUBG Mobile 3.9 Release Date (Expected)

The beta servers became active on June 6, letting players try out the upcoming features. If we follow how previous updates have been handled, it’s expected that PUBG Mobile 3.9 might officially launch around July 6. But that still depends on how the testing goes and whether changes will need to be made before public release.

PUBG Mobile 3.9 Update Upcoming Features

PUBG Mobile X Transformers Themed Mode

Probably the most exciting part in this version is the Transformers collaboration mode. But it’s not just simple visuals. The Erangel map has been redone with a new look and structure based on the well-known war between Autobots and Decepticons.

Players in this mode can use beacons to bring powerful machines to the field. These include a large truck that functions like Optimus Prime and an electromagnetic tank that feels inspired by Megatron. These vehicles are not only good for movement—they also become a big part of how players fight. It changes the game flow completely when they appear.

New POI: Neon Outpost

A new place added in the update is Neon Outpost, a colorful, high-tech area with its own features and layout. The location is split into three different parts:

  • Boxing Ring: A spot where a loot crate unlocks once a countdown finishes.
  • Black Market: Vendors set up here, along with a futuristic burger stall. The stall gives players a special item called the Interstellar Burger, which is kind of unique.
  • Energy Hub: Full of small robots moving around. Some of them can be used for transportation or interactions.

Inside the outpost also lies Astro Den, a special melee combat zone where players can only use weapons found within. If someone is eliminated here, they’re not out—they’ll respawn back above the outpost instantly. There’s another Astro Den placed further away on the map that works with the same rules. The last team standing in that version earns rewards when the timer ends.

Cosmic Hoverboard

New movement mechanics are also coming through the Cosmic Hoverboard. This item lets players travel faster across long areas, though shooting while riding is not allowed. It’s more of a movement tool than a combat one. The hoverboard can be powered up by collecting cores around the map.

Once upgraded, the hoverboard unlocks:

  • Double Jump, useful for vertical mobility
  • Dash Move, to help escape or rush enemies
  • Improved Control, which makes it easier to steer while riding

These abilities make it more useful than just a travel gadget. It gives players new ways to approach fights—or avoid them completely when needed.

PUBG Mobile 3.9 seems to be moving in a fresh direction. With all these sci-fi elements, transforming vehicles, and new zones to explore, it’s not just a regular content patch. It adds systems that change how players interact with the map and with each other. The beta is still ongoing, and adjustments might still be made. But overall, this looks like one of the more creative updates PUBG Mobile has had in a while. If the full version follows soon, players can expect a very different kind of battleground than what they’re used to.
