The upcoming tag-team game 2XKO from Riot Games brings League of Legends’ cast of characters into a competitive, yet approachable, environment. There are currently 11 champions available and a unique fighting style for each one. The largest majority of characters will be available at the time of launch, while a few champions will require either in-game currency or playing the game to unlock.

The starting lineup consists of Ahri, Braum, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, and Yasuo. This initial group of champions does a great job mixing ranged, support, and melee champions, appealing to a variety of players.
At launch, champions including Blitzcrank, Jinx, Vi, Teemo, and Warwick will be locked. Each champion will likely provide alternative strategies and combat options; for instance, Jinx can pressure opponents at range, and Blitzcrank will rely on some sort of grabbing mechanic. Players can experiment/test champions in training mode, but to actually play them online or in ranked play will require unlocking them first.
Ways to Unlock Champions

In 2XKO, there are three main ways to unlock characters that are locked: Champion Tokens, Credits, or KO Points. Champion Tokens are likely the easiest method to obtain early on, and most new players will earn them through beginner missions like completing your “First Fight” tutorial or finishing all of the “First Steps” objectives. Each token can be redeemed for one full champion bundle, which includes the fighter along with more cosmetic goodies.
Players can also spend Credits to unlock characters. Each champion costs 10,000 Credits, and the currency can be earned by completing daily and weekly challenges or just playing matches in 2XKO. For those who prefer a quicker method, there is a premium currency called KO Points, which can be used to unlock the character immediately without playing or fulfilling any gameplay requirements.

Progression Tips
To build your roster faster, simply use your free Champion Tokens to unlock two of the locked champions you like best. It is also a good idea to continue to earn the credits through daily play and gradually build your roster. Players should save their KO Points for limited-time or seasonal releases as the roster expands over time.
In this balanced system, 2XKO can ensure that every player will have a chance, gradually, to play their favorite fighters and have a rewarding progression through its competitive ecosystem.
