100 Thieves plans to expand its territories and enter the video game market. The organization’s Founder and CEO Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and COO John Robinson revealed on Wednesday that 100 Thieves is developing its own video game codenamed “Project X”.

100 Thieves never cease to amaze fans with exciting news. This time around, the organization revealed that it is working on its own video game. The announcement states many games that will serve as an inspiration for Project X, but nothing has been said about the project itself.

Gears of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Halo 2 and Halo 3 will all reportedly have an influence on Project X, but the genre of the game still remains unclear. That said, the titles mentioned in the announcement suggest that the game could be a first-person or third-person shooter.

To oversee the game’s production, 100T hired Pete Hawley as its Chief Product Officer. The organization is also actively hiring developers to work on the project.

The focus on involving 100 Thieves and its fanbase in the game’s development is another feature of Project X that the organization highlighted in the announcement. In the video, Nadeshot explained the game’s early reveal as a way to engage the fans in the production process.

100T claims it intends to connect with pro gamers and live streamers to incorporate their feedback into the game as it develops. Robinson also mentioned that members of the organization already brought in interesting game design concepts and ideas that can be implemented into the game.

Nadeshot also said that his early childhood experience with playing video games lead him to enter the esports industry and that developing a video game is the next step challenge for him.

Since its launch in 2017, 100 Thieves has been growing at a breakneck pace. The organization features seven different teams with over 40 players for titles including Valorant, Apex Legends, League of Legends, Fortnite, and Clash Royale.
