The rumors have been around for a while, but 00NATION has now confirmed them by signing Epitacio “TACO” Melo, Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, and Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer. Additionally, the Brazilian team hired members of the GODSENT support staff to help manage and coach the newly formed team.

The former trio of GODSENT will compete in the forthcoming IEM Cologne and ESL Challenger Valencia alongside Marcelo “coldzera” David a two-time Major Champion, and Santino “try” Rigal a former 9z player. In addition to the trio, 00NATION also signed GODSENT’s head coach Olavo “chucky” Napoléao and assistant coach Alan “adr”  Diego Riveros.

Finally, the team acquired GODSENT’s manager Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia, which left the GODSENT CS:GO team down to just two players. In addition to GODSENT’s core team, their spots at ESL Challenger Valencia and IEM Cologne Play-In have also been transferred to 00NATION.

00NATION completes its roster

After a string of disappointing performances, 00NATION underwent several changes in June, including the departures of a few of their most popular CS:GO players. On June 8th, the team benched Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa, and just two days later it parted ways with their coach Joào “righi” Righi. On June 13th, they finally benched Vinicius “v$m” Moreira to make room for the new signees.

According to a report by Dust2.com, The team’s initial plan was to also bring Bruno “b4rtiN” Câmar to the squad in place of try. However, try received another chance to prove his worth to 00NATION as his former team 9z was unable to match the buyout, according to the report.

The organization’s decision to reshuffle its roster is reasonable in light of the team’s recent results. The club didn’t have much success throughout its tenure with the former roster as they were unable to win any major event. In 2022, the team first collapsed at the Pinnacle Cup, leaving the competition early after three straight losses. The team’s biggest failure was their disappointing performance at American RMR, which prevented them from qualifying for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

00NATION is off to a rough start in ESL Challengers Valencia

The newly formed 00NATION roster suffered their first loss at ESL Challengers today in the hand of Outsiders. Dumau put up an amazing performance, but he was unable to prevent his squad from suffering their first defeat. He posted a K/D of 24/19 with an average damage per round of 90.2.

Tomorrow, 00NATION is scheduled to play FURIA in the elimination round, and any chances to advance rest on the outcome of that match. If they manage to win the elimination match, they will only have to overcome one final hurdle, the decider game against Sprout.
